What to do right now

A few minutes of the right steps can save a lot of damage.

Turn off the water

The main tap is usually beside the water meter near the front boundary. Turn it clockwise until it stops.

Keep power away

If water is near power points or the switchboard, stay clear and turn the power off only if it's safe to reach.

Stop using drains

For a sewer or toilet overflow, stop flushing and running water until we get there.
